Shore excursions in Italy ,Daily Tours and guided Limousine services.
We had an awesome day with Claudio our driver. He collected us promptly and took care to find out what we expected to get from our trip and made sure that he exceeded these expectations. He called ahead to book a trusted private tour guide who was waiting for us on our arrival in Pompeii - he was fantastic! And then we drove on to Sorrento, stopping at various places on the Amalfie Coast to take photographs and then we had a late lunch in Il Positano, before returning to Rome. Travelling with two young daughters, it was a long day trip, but memorable - and we all thought it was our best day of our week-long holiday to Rome.

Meet your private licensed guide in St. Mark's Square and embark on a journey to discover one of the most mysterious and romantic cities in the world. The history of Venice Italy is largely the story of refugees fleeing the Roman cities of Padua and Altino to escape unrelenting invasions by Germanic tribes and the Huns. From its humble beginnings, Venice rose to a position of a naval and economic power as well as a great cultural and intellectual innovator, controlling a large part of the Mediterranean due to its strategic location.

Dominating the Piazza with its fairytale façade, St. Mark's Basilica is the ultimate symbol of Venice's former glory, exhibiting influences from Byzantine, Western European, and Islamic architecture all due to the city's powerful seafaring past. Another landmark that contributes to this unique set is the Doge's Palace, once the political and judicial hub of the Venetian Empire, home to the Doge and a splendid example of the Venetian gothic architecture. Visit the courtyard and the loggias, the Doge's apartment and the institutional chambers before crossing the famous Ponte dei Sospiri ( the Bridge of Sighs), a corridor that connects the Palazzo Ducale with Palazzo delle Prigioni, a prison built in the late 16th century to house petty criminals.

If you like, at the end of the tour, your guide can leave you close to a glass factory near the square where you can admire a "mastro vetraio" giving a demonstration of his art. In alternative, you can choose to take a relaxing gondola ride for 30/40 minutes at an extra cost. Please ask our office for a quote .
