ITALIAN ANCESTRY RESEARCH & TOUR OVERVIEW
Imagine spending a day driving through the picturesque Italian countryside, seeing the land where your ancestors lived and worked and raised their families. Then, as you stroll through the village that they called home before beginning an adventure in a new land, feel the nostalgia as you walk in your family’s footsteps! How cool is that? Not to mention how interesting and fun will it be to learn the history and traditions of the place.
Maybe we’ll even be lucky enough to be there during a local festival so you can join the celebration of regional products and Italian cooking, and enjoy the hospitality that is so wonderful and unique in every region of Italy.
IN THE PIAZZAS AND AT THE ARCHIVES
If you need a little help speaking Italian (or even a lot of help) we’ll be there by your side to open the door to the past, chatting with locals in the piazzas and cafés. If you need anything from the archives in the municiple hall of records (called the anagrafe del comune in Italian) or at your family’s church we’ll be happy to take you there and help with that as well.
If your relatives are still living in your ancestral village we will do everything possible to reconnect you. Think of the thrill of coming face to face with your long-lost Italian relatives, sharing stories of how your family legacy has carried on and branched out in different ways in different cultures on both sides of the sea.
Of course no day trip in Italy would be complete without that all-important ingredient of Italian life: FOOD. We’ll scope out a genuine trattoria or osteria (casual restaurant that serves local dishes) unless of course your relatives invite you for lunch! (Kindly note that the cost of lunch is not included in the rate).

We charge nothing for these services because it is our passion and pleasure. Our satisfaction will be seeing you reconnect with your Italian roots.

How far can we go with our driver?
The quoted price given covers 500km in total back and forth, should you want to go farther there would be an additional cost for the gas and toll fees. Please contact the office to know more about the town you would like to visit.
What is the duration of the tour?
The duration of the tour is 8 hours including pickup and drop off at your hotel
There will be a full charge for bookings canceled with less than 72-hour notice for any service required. In this case, a full charge will be made on your credit card. If you miss your flight or if your airline decides to cancel the flight due to bad weather or if your flight is directed to another airport on arrival, please advise us on time (as soon as you know) or a full charge will be made.
Please give us enough time so we can accept other reservations and allocate them to our chauffeurs. If the ship does not make it to the pier for bad weather, you will not be considered responsible so NO CHARGE will be made to your credit card. A full charge will be made for a no-show-up.
Only pre-purchased skip-the-line tickets (if requested) are not refundable under the circumstance and will be charged to your card.
