Duration : 3 Hours
Get a literal taste of Rome’s culinary history as you explore The Eternal City with an expert guide. Our 3-hour walking tour will take you through some of Rome’s oldest and most fascinating neighbourhoods: Campo de’ Fiori, the Jewish Ghetto, and Trastevere.
As you weave your way through Rome’s enchanting streets, you’ll receive a hands-on lesson in Rome’s culinary traditions that go back hundreds (if not thousands) of years. We will stop at a variety of legendary food shops and restaurants so that you can sample the signature foods of Roman cuisine:
In addition to these delectable items, you’ll sample some of the good local wine (both red and white).
Of course, no tasting tour would be complete without gelato! We’ll stop by one of the best gelato shops in Rome where the Italian version of ice cream will amaze you with its intense and unique flavours. The gelato is 100% artisan, made onsite from fresh seasonal ingredients.
Your guide will also share the “rules and regulations” of how to eat in Italy, which is sure to be an enlightening and entertaining discussion if you’ve never been to Italy before. For a primer, please see our blog post, Five Things an Italian Would Never Eat or Do at a Meal.
The tour takes place at either 10:30 am or 4:30 pm.
