Afternoon at leisure.
A complete overview of Rome. Your driver will take you where buses are not permitted, allowing you to see more, walk less, and capture the best of The Eternal City. You will see the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Victor Emmanuel monument, Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona.
You will have time to tour the Colosseum and we will provide skip-the-line tickets.
Experience Rome in the warm colours of its dimming lights. Our Rome by Night private tour is the perfect way to see The Eternal City at its shimmering best.
Enjoy a ride through the Etruscan countryside and head north to Tuscany, stopping first in Montepulciano where you can taste some of the renowned local wine. Continue on to Pienza, famous for fabulous pecorino (sheep's milk) cheese, then proceed to San Gimignano, the "Manhattan of Italy" with its many Medieval towers, before arriving in Florence.
Overnight in
Florence.
On this walking tour with a private guide, you'll visit the Accademia Gallery, home of Florence’s most treasured works of art, most notably Michelangelo’s David. At Piazza del Duomo, you'll admire the cathedral of Santa Maria dei Fiori standing tall over the city with its magnificent Renaissance dome designed by Filippo Brunelleschi.
The tour continues with a visit of the medieval quarters where Italy's beloved writer, Dante Alighieri, lived and fell in love with Beatrice. Proceed to Piazza della Signoria, hub of the city's social and political life since the 13th century. Presiding over the piazza is stately Palazzo Vecchio, Florence's city hall, and the 14th-century Loggia dei Lanzi, a beautiful arched gallery housing an impressive collection of Renaissance and Roman sculptures.
The tour closes at Ponte Vecchio, the legendary Medieval bridge over the Arno river.
On this leisure day in Florence, enjoy the spectacular shopping, elegant
architecture, legendary gardens, and great Tuscan food at a genuine
trattoria or on a pretty terrace.
Today your driver will pick you up at your Florence accommodations for a visit to the splendid maritime city of Pisa to see the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa and all the impressive monuments on the Campo dei Miracoli (Field of Miracles).
The balance of the day will be spent in Lucca, an elegant Renaissance city boasting the most awe-inspiring (and best-preserved) ancient city walls to be found anywhere in Italy.
Lucca is quite compact but there are many interesting places to visit: the Romanesque cathedral of San Martino, the church of San Michele, the Basilica of San Frediano with its exquisite mosaics, and the birthplace of the composer Puccini whose house is now a small museum. The more energetic of you can rent bikes to cruise atop the city walls.
One of Italy's most enchanting Medieval towns, Siena was a proud, wealthy, and warlike independent city-state during the Middle Ages. Today, it is famous for its crazy summer horse race, the Palio di Siena, which attracts visitors from around the world, in addition to its magnificent cathedral, gorgeous shops, sumptuous sweets, and vast, fan-shaped main square, Piazza del Campo.
The cathedral's green, pink, and white marble exterior is surpassed only by the exquisite black and white marble geometric patterns and the inlaid marble mosaic floor found inside.
This private transfer features door-to-door service and baggage assistance. You won’t have to worry about a thing, except enjoying the grande bellezza of Roma as you say arrivederci to The Eternal City.
