We used DriverInRome instead of the cruise ship excursion option for our family. We wanted a more personal and flexible tour that would allow us to go at our own pace and not be herded like cattle. We found that we were able to see more sites, get closer to the historic monuments and buildings, and have a comfortable, relaxed experience. The price was comparable to the cruise ship's group tour, yet we were traveling at our own pace in a Mercedes. Daniele was TERRIFIC! In addition to the standard tourist attractions, he knew the best places to take us to give us the best views, lunch, etc. It was a wonderful day thanks to Daniele. DriverinRome also arranged for a driver at the ports in Naples/Pompeii and Florence/Pisa. We would HIGHLY recommend DriverInRome and will use them again when we return to Italy.
