Aug 2016

We met our tour guide, Stephenie, at the port upon departing our cruise ship. We made the trip to Pisa first to avoid the heavy crowds from cruise line buses and other tours. We had about 1 hour at Pisa which is enough time to look around and get pictures but maybe tight if you want to pay the fee to climb the tower. We then had an approximately 1-hour bus ride to Florence. Upon arrival, we walked around Florence and were shown the many buildings and other tourist attractions. We were given about 1 hour about mid-way through our Florence tour for lunch and shopping. We then continued with our tour and learning the history of Florence and the many artists that have works in the town. What is not included in this tour is any entrance fees to any of the museums, nor will you have time on the tour to visit, unless you break away on your own, We visited in early August and it was HOT!!! Check the time of year that you are going and make sure to bring good sun cover if going in the summer months.
