You will be greeted by our chauffeur as you land in Rome.
Head to your hotel where we will drop off the luggage and then proceed to the
Vatican Museums where your professional licensed guide will be waiting for you
with skip-the-line tickets. At the end of the tour, you can stay and have lunch
in the Vatican area or proceed to your hotel to check-in ( return transfer not
included). Afternoon at leisure.
This tour has been designed for those guests who wish to
enjoy a complete overview of Rome. You will have the opportunity to drive where
large buses are not permitted, allowing you to see more, walk less and capture
the "best of Rome". You will see the Colosseum, the Roman Forum,
Victor Emmanuel monument, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon,
Navona Square. We will provide skip-the-line tickets for the Colosseum.
Your driver will pick you up in the evening and take you for
a night tour of Rome including the highlights of the Eternal city.
Enjoy the day on your own. Return to sites seen already or
do some shopping, stroll through Via Condotti at the Spanish Steps and enjoy a
gelato!
Villa D'Este with its magnificent Renaissance gardens was
home to Cardinal D'Este, Lucrezia Borgia's son and one of Italy's 16th century
greatest art patrons. See beautifully frescoed rooms in the state apartment and
the spectacular park with countless breathtaking fountains and centuries-old
trees. Visit Hadrian's Villa, an impressive archeological site, combining the
best elements of the architectural heritage of Egypt, Greece and Rome in the
form of an 'ideal city'.
Afternoon visit to the Catacombs of St. Callixtus: the
present catacombs are a series of underground galleries and vaults of various
sizes. These were holy sites where Christians buried their dead and came to
pray and celebrate the liturgy. Proceed to the old Appian Way, a road where
Spartacus and 6,000 soldiers were crucified. Admission fees to the Catacombs
are not included (8 euros/person)
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING TICKETS:
Please be aware that tickets are guaranteed only when booked.
Booking tickets this year has become almost impossible and we’re struggling to find slots available.
The Vatican opens availability 2 months ahead the selected date and the Colosseum opens availability one month ahead. We will do our very best to get the admission tickets for you but if by this time we are not able to secure tickets, then those are not guaranteed.
We will have to relay to other suppliers but it’s not guaranteed.
You will be notified in case of lack of unavailability and offered an alternative solution for you to still have a wonderful experience during your visit; for example at the Colosseum, you may decide to only see the Roman Forum which is another good attraction and instead of the Vatican we can take you to see other beautiful churches in Rome.
We will be able to provide a certain answer regarding availability 7 weeks ahead for the Vatican and 4 weeks ahead for the Colosseum, in refer to the selected date of your tour.
