This was an amazing whirlwind of a day! Dani, our guide was amazing! She knew so much and had so many great quips about all the amazing things to see throughout Rome. I would highly suggest booking a tour because there was no way we could have accomplished seeing everything we did on our own. We started the day by joining our small bus and heading to the Colosseum. We did not book tickets to go inside but wandered around nearby. We got some great pictures and met back with the group. Dani also got us these great high-quality wireless mic and headphones for us to listen to her while we wandered through the city. It made it really nice that you didn't need to be right next to her, and could wander nearby and still hear all the great information. From the Colosseum, we boarded the bus, passed the Circus Maximus, and deboarded the bus to walk to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and Piazza Navona. We had great information, and it was such a gorgeous walk. Lastly, we got to have amazing pizza at the Trevi Fountain! We boarded the bus again and headed to the Vatican. We were so lucky and made it through a quick line, to view the inside of the gorgeous basilica. Dani was fantastic, and it was so amazing to hear such great information. We then headed to a great shop for gifts, and then boarded the bus to head back to the cruise. This truly was one of the highlights of our trip. It was so nice to be in a small group, instead of the large 60 groups of people who had booked through the cruise ship. We got a really personalized experience and loved getting a taste of all that Rome had to offer. It was fantastic. Thank you so much DriverinrRome and Dani! We had a great trip!
