This tour was a great way to pack a lot into a 1-day visit to the area. It was excellent value for the money and are so glad that we booked this trip rather than through the cruise line. Here are some thoughts: GUIDE Our guide, Stephania, was very friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. She spoke excellent English and was very easy to understand. From the moment we got on the bus, she was very attentive, making sure everyone was having a good time and accounted for at each stop. She even had the driver make a special pit stop at a gas station where we could all use the facilities for free always a bonus in Europe!. She gave us the inside scoop on the best places to shop, eat, go for gelato, etc... Her knowledge about the area and the history was amazing although, I must admit, it was a bit of information overload by the end of the day. PISA We enjoyed this stop more than expected despite the rain!. The tower and other buildings are spectacular. Although the stop was fairly brief, we felt like we had enough time to wander around, get a few pictures and enjoy the area. Other than the tower and a few souvenir shops, there is not much else to do or see here so a quick stop is enough. FLORENCE There is so much to see and do in Florence that it would be impossible to cover it all in one day, let alone an afternoon. However, this tour provided a really good introduction/overview and covered all the major attractions. We even had some free time for lunch and shopping, as well as a nice surprise from Stephania at the end of the day. Overall, this was an action-packed tour that made really good use of our limited time in the port. We wouldn't hesitate to book another tour with this company in the future.
