I'm reviewing this trip more for the amazing guide we had rather than the sights, which we did not see much of. To explain: the description of the tour did not lead us to believe it would require multiple miles of walking. My wife was having mobility issues that day. She was able to wait on the bus when I took about a one-mile walk to Pisa's first stop. Though crowded by tourists, I was able to get some good photos and walk around the complex. For the next stop in Florence, it became apparent early on my wife would not be able to continue. So our guide Stefania stepped up to the plate. She gave us a map, suggested a taxi route to the end meeting point, and made sure we had her mobile number. The restaurant she directed us to was comfortable and had great food. Most important it was near the rendezvous point. I asked for directions to the bus so we could get a head start which enabled us to not keep the group waiting. Stefania checked on us when she arrived and gave us two cannoli she had picked up from the same restaurant we'd eaten in we told her we skipped dessert! Kudos also to the bus driver who found a nearby spot to pick us up rather than making us walk. Stefania was enthusiastic and welcoming throughout the tour, and her concern for our well-being was touching.
