Thank You to DriverinRome and Luca, Roberto, Giuseppe, and Silvano for making the most of our stops in Italy this year. We were fortunate enough to be in Italy for a second time. This made it a little more difficult for our friends to show different things from our first visit. Each and every one of you exceeded our expectations. Daniele, a special thank you for calling us each day to make sure that we were having a good one! Luca kept us all laughing as we toured Florence and headed to Tenuta Torciano for lunch. Luca started our day on the hilltop overlooking Florence. From there we were treated to panoramic views of the city. Truly the Clown Prince of the company!! Thank you for the surprise treats of torte di mamma when you picked us up at the Ponte Vecchio. There is no way to thank Roberto for the sights he showed us. Most memorable was the view through The Key Hole. We traveled back to the ship in a terrible rainstorm and felt very safe. A true professional in every way. Along the Amalfi Coast Giuseppe gave us ample time to explore Revello, Amalfi, Positano and experience lunch with views second to none at Trattoria La Tagliata. A stop on the way back to the ship in Sorrento to see craftsmen create inlaid wood furniture and boxes gave us all an appreciation for their work. As we had never been to Palermo, Silvano did an excellent job of showing us as much as he possibly could. First thing in the morning - before the larger tour groups - he took us to the cathedral in Monreale where we climbed to the top for stunning views of the city. In the market, Silvano was like a shepherd making sure that none of the flock got too far behind. We had rain every day but with the enthusiastic and knowledgeable drivers from DriverInRome, we hardly noticed it.
