A Day In Rome and The Vatican.

Thank you for the follow up. We had a great trip and are glad to be home safely. We enjoyed our tour in Rome. We decided to do a private tour to avoid the long lines and maximize our time. Claudio, our driver was on time and met us at our cruise ship. Claudio was very nice and the car was clean and comfortable. He provided information about the area between the port and Rome. It was nice to pass all the tour buses and we drove to Rome. Upon arriving in Rome our tour guide met us at the the Vatican for a private tour. Again we decided to us a private tour guide for the Vatican to make the most of our time. Marta, our Vatican tour was very knowledgeable not only about the Vatican but also Roman history in general. The tour covered a lot of ground and Marta provided detailed information that I am sure most people would not get from a tour. It was a 3 1/2 hour tour. Fabulous. It was best to do the Vatican tour first since both the crowds and the temperature increased as the morning went on. We then visited the coliseum and Trevi fountain with time for lunch in between. The drive back to the ship was quick with Claudio giving us more information. Overall it was a great day and would definitely use DRIVERINROME again.
