Piazza Navona

Piazza Navona is Rome's most popular gathering spot and people watching place. Dozens of artists, souvenir shops, cafe's and bars inhabit the main area. It's also why Rome is often called the "'City of Fountains." The piazza is home of the Fountain of the Four Rivers, as well as the Neptune Fountain, which are both are sought out by photographers, as well. Several small lanes, leading away from the main piazza, are home to excellent restaurants, gelato shops and exclusive hotels. This is one of the first places we stop during every visit to Rome.
